Starting in the fall of 2020, Maryville University will be offering several new, fully online undergraduate degree programs, giving students even more opportunities to have a positive impact on their world and achieve their career goals.
We developed these programs to help meet the need for qualified professionals in exciting, rapidly growing fields. Graduates will be able to pursue a wide range of career paths, so whether you’re aspiring to help create a more sustainable future, innovate in computers and tech, or help people lead healthier lives, your Maryville degree can help turn your vision into a reality.
The new degree programs include the following:
Bachelor’s in Computer Science
Turn your passion for technology into an exciting career. Develop your skills in high-demand areas like programming, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence. You can even specialize your degree by choosing from six concentrations.
Bachelor’s in Exercise Science
This degree can help prepare you for a career in the $30 billion health and fitness industry. You can study human movement and performance remotely through our state-of-the-art Human Performance Lab, and choose between a concentration in Wellness Management or Strength and Conditioning.
Bachelor’s in Human Development and Family Studies
Explore the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of people and families. This program is aligned with the 10 content areas of the National Council on Family Relations, and can put you on a path toward a rewarding career such as counselor, family life educator, or community service manager.
Bachelor’s in Human Resource Management
This program is designed to teach you the skills to help companies attract, develop, and retain the best employees. It covers topics including recruitment, talent management, and labor relations, and it includes a comprehensive business core to teach you the ins and outs of operations, finance, accounting, law, and communication.
Bachelor’s in Social Work
Gain the skills to embark on a rewarding career helping others. You can learn how to advocate for vulnerable populations including children, aging adults, victims of crime, and people suffering from addiction. Our curriculum is designed based on the nine CSWE competencies and blends theory with real-world training through in-class projects and an immersive, experiential practicum.
Bachelor’s in Sustainability
Learn how you can become a leader in creating a more sustainable future. This program covers topics including ecology, conservation, urban planning, and environmental law. Tailor your education to your goals with one of three tracks: Environmental Science, Business, or Policy.
