Curriculum

Our online  Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity program curriculum brings you relevant coursework on hot-button topics such as digital forensics, cyber law, database design, and programming, just to name a few. Study with us, and you can also choose from three unique program tracks to specialize your education further.

Build a general foundation. Not sure where you’d like to focus just yet? Our online cybersecurity degree program’s general track will help you build the skills you need for a variety of positions in the industry. You’ll focus on ethical hacking, networks and security, virtualization and cloud security, and digital forensics.

Go on the offense. Choose the offensive track in our online Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity, and you’ll have the chance to take courses in networks, security, and mobile security. You’ll also dive deeper into ethical hacking.

Choose to play defense. For those bachelor’s in cybersecurity online students who are more interested in the defensive track, your study will focus more on security information and event management, virtualization and cloud security, digital forensics, and incident response and malware analysis.

Sample Coursework

Ethical Hacking. Students will learn how to approach networks, computers, and mobile devices with the intent of discovering vulnerabilities that could be exploited by malicious hackers.

Digital Forensics. Digital forensics encompasses the collection and analysis of electronic evidence on network, client, and mobile devices. Students will also learn how this evidence is introduced in court.

Incident Response and Malware Analysis. Malware targets and infects Windows computer systems. In order to defend a network against malware, students learn how to recognize threats, respond to information security incidents, and establish defenses.
